Camp Barnabas

I recently returned from Camp Barnabas, and it's safe to say that it is the greatest place on earth.
For those of you that don't know, it's a camp for kids with special needs. My church takes a group of volunteers to help out. The week we go is specifically for kids with autism or downs syndrome.
If you're over 16 you're paired individually with a camper. So I spent the week watching and keeping up with my camper, who's name was Keith. He had autism, and could function at a 13-14 year olds mental age. However he chose to act like a 4 year old all week. It was an interesting week, but it was full of lessons I needed to learn. I also got to meet some amazing people who I now consider to be my good friends. It was such an amazing week, and I can't wait to go back and work next summer.
